Tootle Jar

Dear Mums and Dads,

In Year One, we have been learning about the difference between Tattling and Reporting to the teacher. Our Tattle Monster has been VERY VERY busy with lots of Tattles, and Miss Britt is impressed with how mature we are when it comes to reporting issues.

Now comes the next step… our TOOTLE JAR!!

A tootle, is when you say something positive about someone else. You might give a compliment or catch someone doing the right thing and congratulate them. Some examples of tootles are,

– “Miss Britt, I fell over today and Maya and Bella helped me get a drink and wash my face.”

-“Wow Sophie, you drew a really nice picture”

-“Dion, you are such a good reader! You read with a nice smooth voice!”

Tootles make us feel happy inside and improve the positive energy in our room.

This is what a tootle looks like!

If we fill our Tootle Jar with Tootles not only will we be a happier class, but we are getting a BIG reward!!

Year One will have their own…. MOVIE DAY! We will all get to pick a movie, arrange our classroom like a cinema and have special snacks brought in by Miss Britt!!!

We are super excited about Tootling and hope we will leave the Tattle Monster to have a rest!!!

As always we would love to hear your thoughts about what we are doing, and if you have any questions please let me know!

Love love love

Miss Britt and Year One
